Diary (Early October 2010)
Still - the Beginning of Autumn
The weather is being incredibly kind to us on the whole. A few very wet, windy (Welsh?) days, but mostly very pleasant and warm. This gradual change in season is so much kinder to our horses, whose management has to change with the weather.
The Horses
I think we have officially had an "unlucky" year in terms of horse injuries (even our Vet made such a comment!). Things running in threes? I am doubting that Wives' Tale at the moment.
However, the good times have been very good. I am delighted with the work of our equine team, who continue to try to give their best. The fact that many of our previous guests repeat their visits to us gives us hope that we ARE doing the right thing (for our horses and our clients alike).
The Staff
We have always had a great team of grooms, staff, trainees. They come, experience the Gilfach touch (& training!) - and then move on sooner or later. Our current team, again, is great, and allow us to run Gilfach possibly better than ever before
