Riding Courses for "Intermediate" Riders

Is this the right Course for me?

This package is a mixture between a formal 'course' and a holiday! We aim to match the intensity of the horsemanship training you will receive with an equal measure of relaxation, fun and rejuvenation!

Our definition of an 'Intermediate' rider is - one who has ridden for at least five years on a regular basis and can comfortably ride most horses at all gaits.

Aimed at parties of at between 2 and 4 regular riders who wish to improve their and their horses' performance by working with a range of well schooled and experienced horses.  This is an intensive package that will allow you to concentrate on particular aspects of your horsemanship should you desire, but also give you the opportunity to explore a wide range of horsemanship matters on experienced horses.

What to expect!

"Truly inspiring" tuition - available 'on-tap'...

Working with the rider on an one-to-one basis within the shared lessons, you will be able to thoroughly explore the intricacies of your technique. You will leave Gilfach having discovered how to work with your horse, and vica versa -. i.e. Classical Equitation.

Instruction on working the horse from the ground; ridden flatwork; show jumping; plus the opportunity to explore the the theory of horsemanship, are the highlights of this package.

We have a range of "amazing" horses to work with ...

We have horses that are highly sensitive to the aids, well schooled, well mannered, well trained and experienced, and those that are beginning their education as useful "people", and some in-between. You will learn how to flex your style, technique and "disposition" to get the best from each of the equine individuals here at Gilfach. All of the horses here are allowed to express their own characters and personalities, and as such will be able to teach you more about horsemanship than any instructor can!

All riding is on a group basis (your party only). Private instruction may be available subject to available time, please ask for more details.
